Children and Young People

" I always knew I wanted to be a psychologist — not just to understand behaviour, but to truly listen to what children and young people are telling us beneath it."

I’ve worked as a clinical psychologist for over 12 years, specialising in supporting children, young people, and their families. Every day, I see the same pattern: behaviour being misunderstood, needs going unmet, and families being left without the support they deserve.

The problem isn’t the child’s behaviour —

It’s that we often don’t understand what they’re really trying to say.

Behind every “meltdown,” “outburst,” or shutdown is a child communicating an unmet need, often rooted in stress, trauma, or a nervous system in survival mode.

But in homes, schools, and services children are labelled as “naughty” or “difficult”, parents are judged or blamed, professionals feel powerless and trauma goes unseen, misunderstood, and unhealed.

My Mission:

    •    To help adults understand behaviour through a trauma-informed lens

    •    To give children and young people a voice

    •    To support parents who feel lost, blamed, or alone

    •    To build systems that respond with compassion, not control

I empower families, educators, and professionals with the tools to:

    •    Recognise what trauma and stress look like in behaviour

    •    Respond in ways that connect and regulate, not escalate

    •    Create safe spaces where children feel seen, heard, and supported

    •    Break the cycle of shame, exclusion, and misunderstanding

Because no child should feel like they’re the problem.

Because every behaviour is a message.

Because when we understand, children heal.

Because parents deserve support, not shame.

Because connection changes everything.
